Carioca feminine moisturizer is a soothing cream for women of every age and skin type seeking extra hydration and replenishment. Unlike vaginal lubricants, it can be applied regularly, on a daily basis, to retain natural-feeling moisture while relieving discomfort.

Women can experience vaginal dryness due to:

- hormonal changes
- breastfeeding and pregnancy
- certain medications, including birth control pills, antidepressants and allergy medications
- harsh soaps, douches, and perfumed feminine hygiene sprays

The number of uses will depend on how often you use it. We recommend that women who suffer from continuous dryness apply 1-2 pumps daily to maximize suppleness, comfort and hydration. If you use it daily, your bottle should last you approximately 3 months. If you choose to only use it on those occasions when you need a little extra hydration it will last even longer.

Yes. All LaMaria products are hormone free and should not interfere with your hormone replacement therapy.  Hormone replacement therapy is absorbed systemically, whereas our products have a localized effect. Check with your prescribing physician to ensure use supports your individual circumstances.

Yes. You may feel a slight tingling sensation for the first few uses as your skin becomes accustomed to these powerful ingredients. If this occurs, we recommend you space out the days of use until your skin becomes acclimated to the product. Then, you can continue with daily use.

It is not normal to have a severe reaction. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician.

Carioca was formulated by a board-certified gynecologist for safe external use, but if some cream does come into contact with your vaginal mucosa this should not be of concern. The formula has undergone extensive third-party lab testing for safety and has been deemed vaginal irritant free.

How long it takes for Carioca to work its magic will depend on your level of dryness. Some women will experience immediate relief with the first application. Others will start to feel a difference in comfort, hydration and elasticity after around three weeks of daily use. Once Carioca begins working your body, you’ll experience balanced, natural-feeling moisture maintenance and relief.

Once opened, the moisturizers can be used for twelve months. Proper storage and care of your products include keeping them away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
